Hi,
Please help. I have a field {name}. In the {name} field is a city name and state in the following format:
las vegas, nv
I need a formula that will only display the city name, something like the Right function but to count the other way, four spaces to the right. Result should be:
las...
thanks for the responses:
a KISS approach is to use like in the select expert.
{bill_address.address} like "*glen*" for the above example.
thanks,
follow-up questions:
Can you shorten the 20 minute automatic time-out for the standard enterprise? I would like to shorten it to like 3 minutes if possible.
thanks,
Is there a contains function in Crystal. I want to search on a string field that contains a certain phrase.
ex.
record1 - abc glen street, 23456
record2 - xyz glen street, 23457
record3 - glen 12457 st., 23456
i want the search to contain 'glen' so it will pull all three records.
thanks,
I have published a crystal report onto enterprise and when a user goes into the report to change the date parameters, enterprise wants the date in a format like date[yyy, mmm,dd].
Is there an easier way for the users to enter dates, such as they would in crystal reports, using a calender...
Thanks,
I understand what CR can and cannot do, but I am not familiar with what Track-It can do with CR.
Does anyone use Track-It to view CR over the web?
in need of guidance,
Ron
My company just purchased Track-It ticketing software - Standard Version. I want to use the Track-It to deploy CR over the web. The reports are based on SQL so I will need to convince my company to upgrade to the Enterprise version, correct? Only standard can run reports based on Access...
I'm searching on contract numbers on a report but there is no standard format how the contract numbers are entered.
examples:
01-0230
010230
SC01-0230
Is there a way to only search for contract numbers that
end with 0230?
thanks,
Ron
Does anyone have a readme.txt file for the UFL:
CountWorkingDays(startdate,enddate,bankHolidays)
specifically, what value goes into the bankHoliday
field.
thanks
yes, that is what i thought too.
formula works barron, but i also need to subtract business days. also, sometimes the startdate may fall on a weekend,
further suggestions appreciated
i tried this formula:
dateadd("w",5,{voyage_portcall.sail_date})
results should be a date that is 5 weekdays (business days) from the sail date, however the formula is adding 5 calender
days.
i need to add 5 business days to the sail date and i thought
this formula would work...
Balves,
I'm interested in giving reports to users but not having them able to modify them. Please explain a little further about making the reports as Read-Only.
thanks,
ron
