    yeah you were right it was a security feature in apache... its never happened to me before so i thought it might have been the server... guess i was wrong... Thanks for your help though.

    Easy question...Is the server on the domain or not...?

    go into the computer properties... click "Computer name" and it will say under the computer name if it is on a domain and the name of the domain
