Old HDD + IDE 2.5" + password protection = 8-(
Thanks - I chose a different route. I used File Scavenger: http://www.download.com/File-Scavenger/3000-2248_4-10702530.html It busted right through whatever stops were in place - in addition it recovered many many files I "thought" were deleted. So, beware. Get Busy Livin' - Or Get Busy...- thejmz

Old HDD + IDE 2.5" + password protection = 8-(
Greetings. History: A power surge fried my old Lappy. I removed the HDD and plugged it into an 2.5" IDE in hopes of recovering my data. Issue: I can access the old HDD, but the files under my UID are password protected. I know the password, but I cannot find away to disable the protection...- thejmz
