We've got a number of 2k tablespace we want to move to the 8k size. Actually, it's all of them. Export / Import is an option if it will work quickly, but traditional imports take 12 hours...
I've got a customer with Oracle 8.1.5 on windoze that's also got reports 6 (i think) running.
I need some help understanding what it's going to take to move to a "New" Windows 2000 server.
Any links to help me get going are appreciated.
I have a customers database server with 8.1.6 and they also have Oracle reports 6 running on it. I don't know anything about Oracle reports.
Can someone tell me how hard it is to move to another server? Anyone recommend good links to discuss?
TIA
perl -MCPAN -e 'install Image::Resize'
perl -MCPAN -e 'install GD'
perl -MCPAN -e 'install Business::OnlinePayment::AuthorizeNet'
That's the syntax and script, I think. Doesn't look like much, but then again, I'm a DBA, so I'd rather ask one of you experts....
I'm a linux admin. so please bear with me. My developer has a perl module and is asking me to install it.
Can someone tell me what that means and how to do it??
Thanks.
I haven't done VB6 in a while so pardon the question if it's dumb.... Is there a tool in the new (VB 2005) suite to upgrade from VB6 to 2005? I took a look at the application and it's about 20 forms. An MDI and subforms....
Thanks.
I ran the code hookum said and it returned an empty report.
So I added a message box prompt in the code below and it's telling me the street address in the where clause is: StreetName = '70625726'
Thoughts??
Dim stDocName As String

Dim strWhere As String

I used the wizard to create a report and it's made it about 20 inches and I can't seem to make it smaller. If I right click the report, properties the width is 20 inches and when I select anything smaller it just goes back to 20 inches.
Why can't I make it smaller and how ???
Sorry, what I meant to ask are what are the drawbacks of running on Standard edition server instead of Enterprise edition if you're running Enterprise 2005.
Thanks.
Here's some more details.
Again, trying to create a package....
/* Creation of a temp table to store values being processed */

(STUDY_ID VARCHAR2(35), local_case_number VARCHAR2(100),
checkdetail VARCHAR2(250), CheckID VARCHAR2(5))

First, I'm not a developer, so many thanks for assistance.
I've got a developer who wants to:
Create a package
Have a temp table created in that package
Have many different statements run against that temp table
Is this possible?
Many thanks ....
I'd like to set up the service accounts for sql 2005 to use a domain account with the least priveliges needed to run in a cluster.
Does anyone have a list of what that might be? Books on line has been rather useless.
Is it possible for a report to open with a drop down such as "Towns?" and then the user selects the correct town and the report is then produced based up on that?
