Sorry, the link between the tables would be "PartDescription".
I think these sort of comparisons should be quite common (like a report showing the difference between two products with different parts). A clearer image of the final report:
PartDescription ; Model A ; Model B ...
Hi,
I am having problems comparing data from two tables. System details: CR=8.5,DB=Oracle 7, Connection=ODBC.
My table structure is (PartDescription,PartNumber) for both tables. They are linked via PartDescription.

At that time, I scheduled reports via the "RUN NOW" button at the History tab of the report. It would fail immediately. For safety and clarity, I removed the events anyway. The problem still persisted, so suspect server issue. For now, after running repair tool, everything seems fine...
I decided to set up CE on a test machine, and then used its jobserver instead of our production server. Reports were able to be scheduled. Ran the repair tool and it seems that the problem has gone away (for good I hope).
Hi,
We have been running CE8.5 for a couple of months now with no problems. However, recently we started to use Events to schedule our reports, where we run one report and let it trigger the other reports.
3 days ago our scheduling of reports failed totally. All the reports can be viewed on...
Hello there,
We are implementing CE8.5 pro, and are having a nice time converting existing reports to CR reports.
Conceptually, CE would serve as a distribution point for reports. However, a lot of calculations/logic are embedded in our existing VB apps that call Crystal reports.
What we...
Thanks for the note on that, I wasn't aware that CR would take the lot in before processing. The database in question is an MS Access 97 file. It houses around 200K rows of data on one table *sigh*
The nearest solution would be to get the users to key in the timestamp.
Cheers
There's a Linux howto on this:
http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/HP-HOWTO/hp-hardware.html
It has the Netservers, but K class and others you might have better luck at:
http://www.parisc-linux.org/index.html
I would assume that the machine is not being used in a live environment ;)
Of...
Hi there,
Looks like a faulty power supply, or a loose power cable somewhere (I know ppl who get too excited playing Worms such that the whole table moves). You might want to take a torchlight and check the fan in the power supply unit. I once had someone extract a dead lizard from there...
Hi there,
I had a similar experience where I use Windows 2000 Pro, and when the startup logo was displayed, it stopped loading for exactly 90 seconds every time.
Two weeks later my 80GB (data) hard disk died.
(BIOS and O/S couldn't detect it)
I lost quite a bit of data, as I was halfway thru...
Hello there,
I have a report that takes in 2 date_time parameters.
I then convert them to a string, timestamp style.
The conversion formula (@start) is:
totext({?datetimestart},"yyyyMMddHHmmss")
i.e 22/01/2003, 08:00:00 --> 20030122080000
In the select expert, I choose...
Hi there,
We are implementing CE85 Pro, and are doing some reports that connect to MS Access 97 database via network.
We mapped the drive, and created a System DSN to the file.
During report design in CR85, we could preview the report.
When we put the report into CE, it prompts for...
Hi there,
I am doing some pages that require users to log-in.
On login, a bean is created with scope="session". How do I do a logout, i.e expire the session?
If an object is created, say "objData", does this object get "destroyed" when the session is invalidated?
