Visual Basic 5 Pro -- Active X DLL

A similar error is generated when attempting to create a Statndard EXE: Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object. Apparently, these errors are caused by the DBEngine license key not being loaded into the registry. (See MS Support Knowledgebase document Q240377...

Moving a frame within another frame?(VB6)

Make certain that you first click the edge of the frame with the mouse. This should select the entire frame. You may have to do this a couple of times before you discover where the edge of the frame actually is located. Then when you move the mouse over the frame edge the mouse should change...

Generate a stand-alone EXE file from your application.

Did you check with the federal agency (or department) that enforces the HIPPA laws? They may have a solution to you problem. Otherwise, you may have to surf the web.

Query pulls different results when in VB/Access???

Wow! You are right. It is quite lengthy. That in itself may be a problem for ADO. Most SQL engines have a maximum number of characters in a query. I don't know what it is for ADO, but it is worth checking. Other than that, I did not notice any obvious errors in the SQL statement. I...

    Windows Printer Drivers

Now that's a horse of a different color. I would suspect that Microsoft has a Printer Driver Standard that they publish for the Printer Manufacturers to write the Windows Printer Drivers. You might try querying Microsoft and/or the Printer Manufacturer as a Software Developer in order to get...

    Windows Printer Drivers

DOSMan, You should be able to output to any printer that is directly connected to the parallel printer port or to the serial communications port from a DOS program. You just need to open the port for printing (LPT1:, LPT2:, COM1:, COM2:, etc.). As far as getting printer driver information for...

    Error printing to LPT1

Hello. I don't know if I can help, but I'll give it a try. Which printer is set as the default printer? Do you have more than one printer which is supposed to print to LPT1? In either case, try setting the 2100 as the default printer and make certain that no other printers are set to send...

    HP DeskJet 500 & HP DeskJet 812c -- PCL or HP/GL-2?

At first, I went to the HP web site, but they no longer have a forum nor do they answer questions on printers that are out of warranty (unless you pay a fee). Actually, I have a few simple questions: 1) Can the HP DeskJet 500 print with the HP/GL-2 printer language? If so, what is the PCL 3...
