root user after emergency boot
After booting with EBD and mounting file system, I try to run my 3rd party restore software and get the message "you must be SuperUser (root) to run this program." which leads me to believe the I am not the super user after EBD. I have a # prompt but do not know what to do next to correct this...- mgfans

After a HD replacement and boot from Emergency Boot Disks, I need the system to think the root user (super user) is logged on to use a specific program. Can this be done? If so, what are the steps. Pulling my hair out.- mgfans
