    Just so anyone that reads this thread knows. I replaced the saphire heat sink on my card i noticed when i took the original sink off there was alot of heat compound id go as far as to say maybe even to much for the metals to be touching properly! Ive replaced with a Zalman vf900-cu this heatsink...

    Thanks for all your help ill try cleaning up direct x a good blow out and maybe even a windows reinstall. Ill also check that heat sink the cards Idle temp is 56 degrees - too high?

    The card isn't overclocked no - the fan seems to work as it should its quite to begin with then as the game has been on for a few minutes it starts to speed up and gets upto full speed no problem. The card works perfect in every other aspect - due you still think its faulty?
