Glad you sorted it out. Driver discs that come with the package are untrustworthy at best, especially when we're talking about laptops. Many times we end up looking for a driver online.

If that's you *cannot* use your mouse and keyboard, then I'll assume that you're connecting through S-Video port. That happens with a couple other projectors, so why not with VPLs too. If you're indeed using a S-Video connection, I'd try something else, like a RGB cable instead.
