When I use the Notes-History template for a report the the notes or history entries for a contact a printed in a random order. How can I sort the entries by date/time?

Act!8 / Windows XP Prof
I use Act8!Basic on XP Prof and have sometimes a problem with adding notes.
After editing a new note I get the error message "Note could not be generated. Probably a contact or a link were deleted".
After restarting ACT once or twice or rebooting Windows I can work again.
