I fixed it! After a bit of research I found out that all the PC's that were having this problem were all running McAfee VirusScan. I have since found a patch on McAfees website that fixes this problem of deleted emails! Thanks for all the replys!

Thanks for the reply. Nice try but "That's not it!" All emails are disappearing not just unread ones. I have started hearing more stories by word of mouth about other people that are having the same problem. Mainly with Windows XP I think.

Thanks for the replys! No rules set and view is set to Show all messages. PC's are standalone and only one person uses them. I saw it happen myself. I downloaded new messages and 5 or 6 new emails arrived. I then closed Outlook express and reopened it and these new messages were gone! I had...

I am having the same problem. I found that installing Office 97 SP1 & SP2 fixed the problem in Word but not Excel. I have this problem on 3 different PC's now, all different brands, all only running Win2k with SP2. Any body else have any ideas?
