Have a Novell 6.5 server.
Upgraded Windows me workstation to xp.
Tried to set it up as a dual boot in case xp didn't work properly.
What ever could go wrong did I didn't check for a boot.ini file but
after dual boot install no boot loader appeared.
I could care less if the Novell client...
I already tried dsrepair -a and when I set a new epoch, it gives me a 601 error. then the command says copleted successfully. Back to square one server is still issuing synthetic time and beeping after it issues the message.
Is there any other way to stop the server from issuing synthetic time...
You don't listen I really don't care if the server is an hour behind because this is the first time since dst, all clients have correct time. the beeping is being caused by

Synthetic time is being issued on partition "t=new_start group" synthetic time error if I could get rid of the...
yes several times but it still wouldn't stop beeping.
but something weird if i set my server an hour back all my clients except one xp pro pick up correct time. But if i set correct time on server that one pc gets correct time and all others are off.
Yes I actually skimmed over it. when i tried to load it it was useless the server coplained it didn't need it but I believe after that using load dstshift.nlm the beeping started or it could be after loading timesync.nlm. But I know using unload timesync doesn't stop it. So my next guess is to...
I am also thinking of switching gears to study for Novell suse certification thinking that netware might eventually disappear. Now that Novell and microsoft are working together suse might be a better option than RHCE. Which I read a book on but stopped and started reading the last two netware...
The first two suggestions are not an option.
I also remember loading dstshift.nlm before the beeping started. I might try the command unload dstshift. But I am not 100% sure that is causing the beeping. I just know that I didn't need that patch because the server told me it wasn't necessary as...
I installed Macafee Netshield 4.63 perfectly on my Novell fileserver. It is running and protecting my Novell Fileserver.Just so everyone knows this is an ordinary Novell fileserver and not a firewall. But I can't get my workstation to connect to it with the macafee console.the workstation is...

Synthetic time is being issued on partition "t=new_start group" then it beeps. posts the same message then beeps again. Help it sounds like I'm in a hospital.
Newyork Newyork Eastern standard time.
Also is there a timesync stop command because after I typed in timesync to synchronize the network my server won't stop beeping.
Dude Microsoft will buy novell then netware will probly disappear anyway. edit autoexec.ncf works but what is the proper syntax now my server won't stop beeping.
Anyone who knows how i can put the right time zone in my autoexec.ncf please post. i'm in brooklyn ny. it sounds like a cardiac machine.
I hardly ever reboot that server. The autoexec.ncf doesn't matter unless it is rebooted. If I set that time zone and reboot a workstation if it works I need to put it there. if not it is a waste of time. also what command can I use from the console to edit autoexec.ncf? I know if i shut the...
EST5EDT? what is correct syntax
"set time EST5EDT"
I doubt it will work but I'll try again.
The reason i say this is the server time is already correct.
If not this is beating a dead horse will move on to novell 6.5 eventually.
