Outlook 2003: Automatic colouring for calendar items

I know that you can set automatic formatting for calendar items on Outlook 2003 to colour items as they are created. However, an excerpt from Microsoft's help file says: "If you open another person’s calendar or a calendar stored in a public folder, you will see the colors that were assigned...

Distributing a custom icon through WinZip to XP machines

I came up with a solution I created a self-extracting WinZip that installed the icon to a subtle location in C: and made the url's icon data refer to that.

Distributing a custom icon through WinZip to XP machines

I have created a self-extracting WinZip file that contains a URL with a custom icon instead of your typical default web browser icon. When I distribute this WinZip to others and they extract the URL, the icon does not appear. This is because the icon's location is still refering to my local...

I want to be able to select more than one answer in this lookup table and have the form save it into the main table. To give an...

    Create an external outlook template?

Ok, I got it working - it seems that I had to create a new email message for it to recognise the changes. New problem - when I open the template, my Signature block is placed above the content in the message. Is there any way to prevent this?

Hi guys, I was wondering if Excel is able to check a cell to see if "www." is included at the start of the cell and insert "www." into the cell after data has been entered if it hasn't yet been entered? Thanks! Sten

Validation rule for phone number formatting

Well, not only am I convinced Excel has made it way too hard to format this, but my boss agrees to. So thankfully this isn't something I need to implement now. Thanks for everyone who assisted! Cheers, Sten

Validation rule for phone number formatting

Still having a few more issues: The code provided works for 1 cell, but I'm trying to have it work over a range of cells. Below is what I'm trying to achieve: =AND(LEN(I4:I65536)=12,MID(I4:I65536,3,1)=" ",MID(I4:I65536,8,1)=" ",ISNUMBER(SUBSTITUTE(I4:I65536," ","")+0)) The only difference is...

Validation rule for phone number formatting

Hi Yogia, That works a treat! Thank you very much! Is it possible to enter a 10 digit number (i.e 0012341234) and have Excel correct the formatting and insert the spaces (so it would become 00 1234 1234) before checking for the validation? Kind Regards, Sten

Validation rule for phone number formatting

Hey Skip, The cell formatting isn't the issue (besides, there's no support for Australian phone number cell formats!) - I want to ensure that end users cannot enter anything but 10 digits and that it also enters the appropriate spaces. Is it possible that it's another problem that only VB can fix?
