Oh sigh...
The ADL server is the Master
The LA server is a Member
We have domains, call them LAfoo.com and ADLbar.com with MX records that point into the exchange servers (that's simplified too, but oh well!)
Let me explain my non-techno speak.
"One half of the company (LA) is served by one...
We have a two server cluster, each serving a separate domain within a forest...
One half of the company (LA) is served by one, has primary emails in one domain. The other half of the company (ADL) has a different primary email domain. Both sides have both addresses though... Just different...
I hope this hasnt been covered before... I did search...
I have a number of users with mailboxes well over the 2GB "limit". I need to be able to export these mailboxes to PST files...
I have exmerge setup, but it is limited to mailboxes of less than 2GB...
Ideas? I know I can log in as each...
I had also reached out to my Dell Rep, often they can hook up a client with some "expert" to give some advice...
He suggested using Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery, which allows you to restore a backup set to dissimilar hardware.
I'm curious if any of you have heard of or better yet...
I downloaded this VBS script... it worked Great...

For those of you who try it, it will throw a window up with all the useful info you want... You'll find you cant cut/paste this info...
But, it turns...
Thanx again 58sniper...
Its a matter (apparently) of what you/I search for... "report" instead of list doesnt work as well...
I will try "list" in the "other search for a report" request I recently made...
Looking for a reporting/enumerating tool/script to tell me what is running on my Server.
DNS?
DHCP?
RRAS?
What Else?
I'm in the process of both collapsing an existing Server Farm and migrating all/most of the services to a single Server.
It would be nice to generate a list of what is running...
Is anyone aware of a tool that will produce a report of which email addresses are in use by a set of AD Users?
Yes, I can manually examine each account, but was looking for a tool or script that would produce a text or table based report.
The situation is that I have a client that is...
Thanx for the help!
58sniper - I did search first and came up dry, at least searching for Active Directory... I didnt bother searching up DNS/DHCP and/or Exchange yet... If, as you say, its been discussed a ton of times, maybe you could reference a thread(s) with the pertinent procedure(s)?
Caveat - I'm not an AD Wizard, so bear with me.
I have a client with an AD server (WinSVR 2003) but (due to teh age of the existing server) wants to upgrade to new hardware...
How do I "migrate" the Active Directory Server to the new hardware? Yes (amongst other things) its an Exchange Server...
