    PC Slow after installing 400GB hard drive

    I have just encountered the same problem. I'm running on an AMD3700 2.2, with 2GB RAM, and just added a 400MB *SATA* drive.... and my system has slowed to a crawl. For example, if I want to scroll up or down this IE page, the screen moves in waves! It uses 30-40% of my CPU as per the task...
