I think I cracked it. you save the image as bitmap, then trace it in illustrator or in flash but you need to play and tweek with the settings till you get as close as possible to the original photo.. coool

I always wondered when they print these massive photo advertisment on buildings. A freind of mine told me they convert photos in to vector, but what I know is the maximun you can get of a photo is a cartoonie 256 color max when you convert.
Any one in here can inspire me on...

My coleague has designed a poster in photoshop and its all vector and I need to further work on it in illustraor and i need it to be vector. Is there a way importing it with the same layers to illustrator?

Tnx for your quick response jimoblak and excuse my ignorance. What I meant was i need the output as an A1 and bcasue i have an A2 printer i have to print it twice and then stitch the A2 together. My real question is how can i split the orignal A1 file to two A2's in indesign?
