    lasso tool won't select similar.

    i have been trying to remove the background of an image with the lasso tool, using select similar on a pure black background with no other black in the picture, it should select just the background.... or at least thats what it did before. it decided to start selecting the whole picture instead...

    i need to install quicktime on my office computer, but i dont have administrative privilages. i have an external harddrive that i bring from home with q/t on it, but i need q/t in my program files to listen to itunes. how do i put q/t in program files without admin privilages??? must have music...
