Sidekick '98 is now running fine in VISTA. I had to reinstall Sidekick in C:\Starfish as James33 suggested (instead of the default c:\programs). Now "To Dos" and "Calls" are forwarding correctly. I am thrilled. I had been looking at many other PIMs, but found none I liked as well as...
I am running Sidekick '98 on VISTA. I had been running Sidekick 2.0 on XP, but the latter program would not run on VISTA. Sidekick '98 runs fine, with one caveat: NOTHING will forward: not calls, not to-dos, not calendar items.
Does anyone have any ideas? After reading the above posts...
Is Sidekick98 as pleasant graphically as 95? That's ONE of the reasons I prefer Sidekick over ACT or Outlook--it has a much more human feel to it.
I wish there was an easy way to associate files with tasks, appts, etc., though.
I was going to do the same thing. I installed ACT 8.0 today. I seems so unfriendly and impersonal next to Sidekick, though. If only I can get Sidekick to crash less often....
I am hanging on tightly to Sidekick 2.0, but is crashing more and more when entering appts. in the calendar. More often on days other than "today". I think it might be video related, as when I switch to 256 colors in the comptability wizard of Windows XP, it crashes less often but still...
