Getting an older mac clone to recognize my Harddrive
As an update: i'm not too sure how i did it, but I put the HD into my G4 again and used drive set up and got it to be recognized by my powerbase, and the booting problem went away this time. now for my next problem, The drive says 40 megs, but every file takes up 20-20 times the space they...- glasers

Getting an older mac clone to recognize my Harddrive
It is an IDE drive, and the jumpers are set to master. The PB 180 can only have one IDE drive. There are even two settings for master in the literature that came with the drive, and I have tried them both, it seems very strange that it won't let me boot from the system CD???- glasers

Getting an older mac clone to recognize my Harddrive
I have a power base 180 clone that I was able to turn into my web server, but Now it needs to have its HD updated. have a Maxtor diamond max HD (40 Gig) and cannot seem to get the system to recognize it. Am I missing something regarding clone abilities? I have beard this drive can be made to...- glasers
