Ok,
I have done alot of Access work in the last two years and I have never encountered this before. I got an old database from my boss. And he want's me to convert it from 2003 to 2007. But when I open the copy (which is written in 2003) using Access 2003 I cannot see any of the data tables...
Skip,
Thank you for all your help. But I have solved the problem. I stopped the program. Cut and pasted the object into Excel and used the Macro Recorder to see what was happening when I changed the x axis values. And there it was, plain as day, the new format for accessing shapes.
The line...
Skip,
Sorry to take so long to reply I had a meeting. There are a lot of properties but most of them are blank or undefined. Here are a few that caught my eye:
AutoShapeType: msoShapeMixed
chart: <This member can only be accessed for a chart object>
has Chart: msoFalse
Name: "Object 4"
Should...
Thanks for keeping up with me. It's been a pain. Actually I used the immediate window and found that the only object on the slide is number 4. I tried changing the number but still got the same error. There are six shapes and I tried them all.
Sorry,
Paul
The line that is causing the error is Set pptGraph = objPPPres.Slides(intCnt).Shapes(2).OLEFormat.Object. I marked it with a note in my first post.
I did read an article (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb871574(VS.80).aspx)on creating excel graphs which says (towards the bottom) that...
Skip,
Thanks for your input. Does this mean I need to retool my entire VB Script to use the excel codes? If so, where do I start? With how the objects are created? Because the program still creates the graphs just fine. I just seem to be having trouble accessing and adjusting them.
Thank You...
Hello,
I have been tasked with updating (always fun) an old Access to Powerpoint Visual Basic program from Office 2003 to 2007. I am running into a problem where I get an error when trying to access the OLEFormat of slides the program has generated. The error I get is, "OLEFormat (unknown...
Hi, I am upgrading an Access database from 2000 to 2007 that uses VB to create reports and the like. I am getting error messages that normally get trapped but in VBA they now have these crazy error numbers.
For example -2147188160 OLE Format (unknown member) or -2147024809 The specified value is...
Hi All,
Thanks for your input. I'll try the requery thing. But, I'm inclined to agree, it's not a problem with my value list.
I am one step closer to the answer thought. While I was tinkering with it I did discover in the properties window that there were some valid values for my comboboxes...
Oh, sorry. Yes, in the form load event I create a recordset using the original table.
rsForm is a DAO Recordset object.
The creation of the recordset works, I tested it in the immediate window. The new record is there. It's just the fact that the combobox won't update that's killing me.
Thanks
I have a combobox set up in an Access to allow the user to supply an answer to a questions in a continuous form. I bound the combobox to the table which will store all of the users answers. I created a valuelist of yes;no;N/A; (that part works just fine).
Form_load then creates a record set of...
