Wow i dont think you can do this through a parallell cable. There are old ways to do this through a serial cable with applications such as laplink.

This may sound simple but have you gone to my computer and clicked on the shared drive itself? Sometimes they disconnect. If that doesnt work you are going to have to remap the share.
Try this move this drive into a machine that doesnt have any other Hard drives in it. Boot from a windows XP cd and get to a dos prompt. At that point try the fixmbr command. Hopefully it will detect that you have an unformatted drive in the machine and assign it a drive letter. If it does you...
