Would that damage any of the files that were created on the mac? There are about 70 gb worth of images on this storage device that I want to backup onto a windows xp workstation that has 450gb of extra space. If I put them in the Windows environment, can they be used on a mac later? Thanks, Alan

I have been set up with a user/password to workstation as well as given admin rights to the workstation, so yes, I'm a local admin on the workstation. But when SQL analyzer asks for me to log into server, do they want the workstation ip address? Is it looking for 1 of the 4 drives? I have not...

Paul, I'm not sure what edition was purchased. I told the purchasing dept what I was looking to do. The Workstation is Windows XP, PRECISION 690 MT 2XCORE X/2X2GHZ 500GB 4GB WINXP DVD/RW. I'm confused about the terminology, wouldn't I be treating the workstation as the server? Thanks, Alan

I just realized that the removable storage device, LaCie Extreme 2d was initialized on a MAC. Could this be why the Windows machine can't read the files?
