The credential I'm talking about is the account Brightstor uses to access the filesystems it's going to backup. But fyi you click on "Create Bootkit" under Wizards tab.
The caroot is something else. It's an account internal to Brightstor, but has no rights to the filesystems...
The problem is solved. When calling to CA Helpdesk I got another guy on the phone and he told me that I also had to change the password in the Disaster Recovery option.
So if you ever plan to change your backupaccount credentials, it has to be changed at 3 places.
1. the backupjobs

I'm using ArcServe 11.5 SP2 and I have several servers who fail to backup.
They get EC9, meaning "the storage control block address is invalid"

OK, my backup from last night has failed again. And again it's an authentication problem to the same NT server.
This is what I get :
E8535 Failed to receive data from the client agent. (ADDRESS=10.64.3.23 (BE-TES10), EC=9, COMMAND=0)
E8533 Request denied by the client agent. User or password...
I see yes. But I don't understand where he gets this errormessage from. I've already rebooted the specific server and it's not logged on to.
Is there maybe a cache that's causing this problem?

When I check the credentials through "Modify user name and password" (rightclick on a backupjob). One NT machine gives me a failed authentication message. But when I do a complete Preflight check of that backupjob, all is succesfull.
