Is this a fairly common practice? I can't seem to get a good gauge on the guidance for using it on your default internet send connector. Has anyone deployed it and had enough issues that made you revert back? Thanks!

figured I would followup, oddly enough this was enhanced with RU3 and answered my question above.
If the CAS array was still available in a site, but the mailbox database for a user in that site then fails over to a separate mailbox server in a different site would it be the expectation that the CAS array wont be able to serve up MAPI traffic for a user in the site with the CAS array but not...
you can try getting the DB name and piping it into there?
get-publicfolderdatabase <name>* | new-publicfolderdatabaserepairrequest -corruptiontype ReplState -DetectOnly
So does a POST with this line ONLY come up with a session that is interacting via OWA (I assume so???) I just want to make sure that under no circumstances Outlook 2010 will cause entries like this to appear on the CAS box that it is connecting to.
/owa/ev.owa oeh=1&ns=EditMessage&ev=Send...
Have you happened to try the methods suggested in this article?

When setting up a new CAS Array, should a person install 2 instances of the CAS role prior to the creation of the WNLB configuration? Or is configuring the WNLB before the CAS installation preferred? Either way the powershell commands required are understood to be run, I am just trying to gauge...
If splitting the roles on an Exchange 2010 deployment am I correct in thinking I will need only one certificate (SAN or otherwise) that contains the netbios and fqdn of the CAS/HT server? I am under the impression that I wont need one for the MB role, is that right? Thanks much.
Cory
Considering this command expects you to manually input a "y/n", and you may need to do more than 1 at a time (duh!?) I wrote something in powershell to help a person out!
Also, I used the built in "Images on Media" within NetBackup 6.5 client and exported that data to a txt file and used Excel...
What would cause a user in the Exchange Organizataion Admin group to not have the ability to open a new users mailbox/calendar data. It is complaining about permissions, and it happens with every Org Admin on every new mailbox by default. Am I not thinking right that this group should have every...
After search threads, I finally found the answer. Unfortunately its kind of not that awesome for those of us who want to just completely ditch PF for whatever reason.
"Hi,
I agree with Lasse that the issue occurs because the Free/Busy message in the Public Folder store cannot be accessed...
Question:
I was digging further and found that autodiscover had not been setup correctly (all the referring urls were pointing to the Ex2003 fqdn, I assume because that is the CN on the certificate which was the old server but is still being used on both the Ex2003 OWA site and the Ex2007 CAS)...

Thanks for bringing that up Pat, indeed it was setup to point to the dismounted store. I think I am confused as to why this would matter however? Is it not accurate to think that these resource mailboxes (for that matter everything else) do not need to utilize Public Folders anymore as long as...
In a 2007 setup with legacy 2003 still powered on but with no mailboxes and pf store dismounted. The error came up after dismounting the public folder store on 2007.
Why would this be required to be mounted when users are scheduling appts with resource mailboxes on Ex2007? After 3 users had the...
Hello, I think I have an easy question but my straight forward answer has alluded me thus far. Is there any way to easily setup monitoring connections to the SMTP server, something similar to connector logging in 2007? What I need to do is determine connections to it to see what is still using...
The cobwebs have come.
Hypothetically I have two mailbox servers and delegate the Exchange Server Admin permission to a user for 1 of those servers, which we will say has 1 storage group on it and a bunch of mailboxes. Will that person be able to still modify all the user mailboxes in the...
