    The test page was a no go...tried it prior to posting this. The OS is Linux and I used the driver for the Officejet 4200 series with the same results and also the driver for the 4115 series, but there was no specific one for the 4215.     Thanks for the reply....there is no tape on the print heads. Would make sense, but as I said I have been making copies using it and it prints clear. Any other suggestions?
