well, before, simply typing in my ip adress into the browser was enough to see my site <_<
but now, because that doesnt work, and dyndns just links to my ip adress, they both return the "same kind of nothing..." if that makes sense?
localhost:80 works, changed it to listen to 4000, andt hen...
err here it is ....
Port check .ini returns:
[Ports]
Port80=BLOCKED
Port443=BLOCKED
Port3306=BLOCKED
Port21=FREE
Port14147=FREE
Port8080=FREE
gack! they blocked themselves! oh well, now I know what's wrong, whats the recommended fix? i have done the exceptions througbh windows firewall long...
Apache is listening on "80"
I dont have an ip adress specified, simply "listen 80".
My ip adress IS dynamic, but that hasnt been a problme in the past..
i'm under mcaffee, avast, and windows firewall, i turned off mcaffee, no luck, and windows fiewall too.. (they're all on atm)
What? you ask. That's impossible!
well, it is.
my ip adress typed into a browser does not return ANYTHING, while typing in localhost returns everything perfectly flowery.
Soooo
Any advice on what could cause my apache to go on the fritz? i uninstalled and reinstalled xampp and still no luck...
Well, it does! Typing "localhost" into my browser displays my apache index.php, with a "hello world", but typing in my ip adress (which I am sure is correct) does not!
in fact, it returns nothing!
I have a dyndns account under "taifunbrowser.mine.nu" and like my ip, it displays nothing.
