Thanks to all who responded. It turns out it was the nvidia graphics card and I just reset to default and the monitor looks great now. There was an icon in the lower right task bar that I never looked at til now.

Thanks, that worked, but when my wife zipped the 33mb pdf, it made a 33mb zip file. Why didn't zipping it make a smaller file? Also when saving her InDesign file or any file, she gets 2 options, desktop or her computer name. She would like to save it to a nested folder. How does she do that...
