    Changing Report Display Order

Thanks for the reply. I am not using the e-portfolio, I am using the Report Directory Client (under the Developer Sample section). The e-portfolio uses the Available.csp file. Anyways, I found where to change it in the Directory Client. Modify the guest.csp file (located ...\Program...

    Changing Report Display Order

Hiya everyone. Ok, let me see if I can describe this properly. Right now when I see the listing of reports in CE it lists them accoring to their report id (hidden). This is default out of the box. Add a new report to CE, and thus it goes to the end of the list since it would have the highest...

Prompting for login when accessing rpt's via the WCS (CR8)

This is for some of you which may be having this same issue. I hope this helps someone have a slightly less stressful day than what I had while dealing with this. I had the problem where when anyone refreshes a report being viewed via the web component server they were immediately prompted for...

Have either of you contacted the appropriate SW vendor? If so, what was their response? Bill Powell, MCP powellwa@hotmail.com

Reflection 7 does not work with Windows 2000

You mention that they are "domain users". You don't have to be a domain admin to run it. What are there local rights? Try adding them to the power user group on the local machine they are using, not the domain power user group.

I've been experiencing more than my

I'm not sure if this will help, but I did have similar problems once. I had a HDD that would not let me install win2k on it, but win 98 went in fine. The problem ended up being a defective HDD. Win 2k is far less tollerant of such things. It would let me go through the install process, but...

Reflection 7 does not work with Windows 2000

We use Reflections where I work. Are you using Reflections for IBM? (as400/mainframe?) We are running Reflections 7 for IBM on many win2k laptops. On most of the desktops we are going with Reflections 8. We have applied SP2 and all critical updates to win2k. I have done several Reflections 7...

"Users" can not run programs that need admin rights

The situation presented by 'computermike' was not access TO the program file, but rather the requirement of apropriate permissions to USE a program. They can have full access control over the directory that the prog is in, to include full access control of the program's executable itself. That...

"Users" can not run programs that need admin rights

I agree that in certain cases, the users or the users group need to be added to the security settings for the program in order for it to run, but in many cases this will not work. The first thing you need to determine is WHY does one need to be an admin to run the app. Does the program mod the...

    Windows 2000 logon problem

Also, have you tried safe mode or the recovery console? If you are seeing the screen that says loading personal settings, then you have authenticated properly (or so it seems). Is this ghost image being imaged back down to the original machine from which it was ghosted?

CPU = 100% while using notes in win 2k pro (sp2)

Thanks for the response Fred. We already tried deleting the cache.dsk, no change. We were also thinking about trying 5.0.3, but was hoping there was another option first. Thanks again, I guess we'll give 5.0.3 a try. ~Bill

CPU = 100% while using notes in win 2k pro (sp2)

We have several users which are all reporting the same symptoms. Randomly throughout the day when switing back to Notes from another application, by simply clicking on the task bar button, the mouse cursor starts flickering very quickly back and forth between a normal mouse pointer and the busy...
