Well you've lost me ;) If I understand you properly (and apologies for appearing dense) I need to hook up the external drive and, if ot works, great. If not, power up as normal, hit Stop+A and then type 'touch reconfigure<enter>', then 'shutdown -i6 -g0 -y<enter>' which should restart...
