    convert to outlines - why chunkier?

    No theres no stroke added it only "appears" heavier on-screen. When printed its exactly the same...and overlayed onto the original text when you zoom in...it is exactly the same. Experiment - type any text in Illustrator, make a copy of it and create outlines. Scale both texts down - say 40%...

    convert to outlines - why chunkier?

    I'm modifying some type for a digital logo. When I convert the type to outlines it immediately appears chunkier. The logo needs to be quite small and therefore as crisp as possible. Why does it do this? Is there a way around this?
