624 & tvs50 external access to extensionless mailbox
i think that what i'm trying to do is create a logical extension on the 624 that will send an outside caller to the logical (virtual) mailbox on the VPS. from what i can glean, the 624 does not have the capability to create logical extensions - i'm limited to the the physical extensions that...- foilguy

cwc3- thanks for the quick reply. it's a kx-ta624. is the -4 refer to a firmware level, or a model. i can't find any reference to a "VTR" button in the installation manual. i'll dig into use of the custom service menu option and try to sort out how it will do what i want - hadn't thought of...- foilguy

I've set up a couple of VM boxes (221 & 222) on the tvs50 for employees who work on the road. Since they don't have desks, I haven't tied them to any extensions on the 624, and really don't want to use. I can access the mailboxes through the VM system, but outside calls are routed to ext 101...- foilguy
