    Yea, it seems like I too haven't experienced this issue before, but it happening now. I tried both methods of deleting points, white arrow tool and the (-) pen tool. I cut the path 2 times with the scissor tool trying to seperate the part of the enclosed path I wanted to delete, then the problem...

    I've cut and deleted most of an imported path in illustrator so I can stroke it as a line, not an inclosed path, but illustrator is still trying to stroke the disconnected points... connect them with the stroke! How do I get it to act like a "point to point" line? Thanks for the help!
