    unable to uninstall norton internet security 2005

    I am trying to uninstall my Norton Internet Security 2005 as it will not renew my subscription, I have gone into contol panel and remove software but the Norton icon does not show, I have removed the symantec softwate but now I am stumped.. I am a home user so any help would be great thank you
