I have IP phones deployed in homes and remote office off a BCM 50. If you understand subnetting and the correct way to setup the S1 and port your good to go. Same concept as the i2050.
I also would not recommend running IP phones over the internet without VPN. Too much of a security risk and...
What has everyone's experiences been with the secure routers, any of them. We have a customer that the routers work about the same as the ARN's they had in place before, however when they turn any of the firewall rules or VPN on, the box completely pukes.
Its been our experience that...
Question for the 50/200/400 systems, it don't matter. Senario, I have 2 offices in different cities and have a receptionist at each. Is there a way that I can answer a ringing phone from Site A, that is located at site B?
What I mean is Debbie is the recept at location A and Pam is at...
so take a handset and set it up to ring but call forward it across the VOIP. Understand that part, but where do I forward it to in terms of someone not answering? If I forward it and nobody answers it never gets to the AA.
I can transfer fine if someone answers, however I don't have a receptionist at the remote location so I would like the physical lines (061-064) to ring over the VOIP trunk to my main site and if not answered hit the AA.
Possible?
We have 2 BCM50 units with VOIP trunks between our 2 locations for calling desk to desk which works good. Since each system has there own physical incoming lines (2 FXO) into each we would like to have a central physical person answering calls during the day. Does anyone know how I can take a...
I know on the 200 and 400 3.6 and below you can import files or create more than the standard 4 ringtones. Is this possible on the BCM 50 1.X or will it be with the release of 2.0?
On behalf of Dave T (who is unable to get logged into Tek Tips) here is a responce.
my suggestion for 4allcom is to unjack the 2 redundant power supplies (with power off) - jack them in again and turn on power, If my BCM1000 with redundant power is any indication it will then then power up, I...
I apologize, here is some more information. Each site has there own AA, own mailbox's and own incoming lines. There is no DID in the picture at all. The 2 sites are connected together with 4 VOIP trunks running over a VPN. We do have 4 diget dialing working from any DN to any DN.
Thanks for...
CDP???
Also, we have check the "enable network tranfers", and got the MCDN/Private Networking software (however there is nothing to configure).
We don't want the auto attendant to say any extension but if you put in a 4XXX extension, it transfers it to the local DN, if you put in 3XXX, I would...
Have two locations with BCM 50's, site A and site B in 2 different states. The customer would like to have the ability for a customer to call either location and by use of a four digit extension call any DN. The issue we are having is neither location has a receptionist to transfer the call...
as for point 3. turn on redirect dn and network transfers in the callpilot properties. i have this working on several sites."
We have these on. Note these are BCM50's if that makes a difference.
Thanks for the tips guys!
Justin
We have a few issues with a BCM 50 install I'm wondering if anyone else has or has found a way to fix. These are all now in level 2 or 3 of Nortel Support.
1.) Unfied Messaging client for Lotus notes version 6.5 and 7.X?
2.) When specific people turn on there i2050 client for the first time...
Is it possible or does anyone know how to setup a phantom mailbox for someone without a actual handset or DN? This would be for remote offices to call in and get a VM if someone calls the main office? The remotes are not connected yet today.
