Hello,
I'm trying to build a very simple report that will compare FY sales year over year but getting strange results and wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
Example
Acct# Name LFYTD FYTD
08091 Bob's $68,366 $0
Report Filter...
Hi All
Really can't figure this out. Firstly I'm working in Cognos 7.3. We have reporting that among other things brings in staff notes entered into our db..so just straight text. It displays perfectly accept when I use the "add months" function in my filter for the report. As soon as this...
Hi All
(Using Cognos 7.3 Admin)
Not exactly a newbie to Cognos anymore really but have not created "Calculated Fields" yet but need to and have run into a problem.
I need to create a simple calculated field that will subtract a "received quantity" field from an "order quantity field" in one...
Thanks for your response. You do understand that our actual, currently active mail domain remains abcpub.com but we want mail sent to a users current address....bob@abcpub.com to also get to that user when sent to bob@abcpublishing.com? I'm not creating another mail domain nor another DNS...
Here's what I want to make happen...I suspect it's not a complicated thing to do.
If our company's email domain is currently abcpub.com and an MX record exists for it pointing the world to our email server... and we want the domain abcpublishing.com to also point to that same mail server...what...
We have (1) particular client who suddenly is unable to upload to our FTP site. She can upload to other sites and is able to download from our site just fine.
Others connecting to our site are able to upload....it's only this one person.
She using FETCH on her Mac to connect to our W2003...
We've setup an FTP site on a Windows 2000 box and since the day we set it up we've had the problem described below.
When anyone tries to download a large file or one that takes more than a few mintues, their connection is dropped (times out)...consistantly. MAC, PC, multiple FTP...
That would solve this particular problem anyway.
However, it's our Publicity dept. It's difficult to justify the expense of the $800 Quark license + training for users that are at best putting together fliers.
I've been able to reproduce this problem on every PC I've tried.
When I give a word document a background via FORMAT-BACKGROUND-FILL EFFECTS and creat a gradient, it appears correctly on the screen but prints the gradient "tiled". I've tried from multiple machines and all 3 of our color fiery's...
I got ya. The problem we're still running into however is that this guy's demo's often involves links to our website from our parent company's site.
When anyone internally surfs to www.parentcompany.com and clicks a link to www.ourdomain.com it once again will be pointed to the external IP of...
Thank you, the Host file idea worked.
We use Active Directory. Is there any reason I can't apply that entry (10.0.0.X www.yourdomain.com) to our Domain Controllers DNS so that everyone is able to use "www" when visiting our site?
Sorry, this is the whole post. Can't figure out how to edit the other.
One of our guys in Marketing is working on a few projects related to our Company's website which we host ourselves. He often needs to demonstrate some of the changes he's making to our Executives while here on the premises...
.
The issue apparently is that in his demonstrations he needs or wants to be able to use "www" in front of our domain name when he browses to the site.
It was explained to me that because we host our own site and that because it is located inside of our network that users internal to our...

It's happening to several users now and we are at the end of an Active Directory migration so the mapped drive idea sounds hot. I'll check that.
Thanks!
I've made sure that I can see hidden files.
Well I was able to confirm that I had found the only normal.dot in the system and deleting/renaming it repleatedly is having no effect. Never did find a .xbl file using *.xbl as criteria on any of our systems.
However something new to add. A couple...
