Ido- I apologize for being so naive, I am just now getting into detail formulas. I am not sure what a global variable is or how to add it to the database. I tried looking through help but did not see anything that made sense to me. Thanks so much for the help!

Ido- Okay that worked except now I realize that I need the change to occur with the start of a new group. Each group starts on a new page and on the first page of the new group I need the margins to change. Any ideas?
