Ok i have a customer with a ACS r7 they say callers complain they cant hear them.This only happens on ext 10 thru 18. Replaced processer a year ago . Now they are complaining about same problem.Anyone come across same problem? Possible back plane problem?

Finally the answer to this problem...The power company had a exposed MAIN feeder in the ground and was causing stray voltage. After they repaired this issue no more phones died and have had no problems since.Thank you to everyone who had some possible input.

We ckecked all grounding points because we also do electric and this problem happens for no reason at anytime not during lightning and no power surges or loss of power.

Are you saying just check voltage to ground and the resistance on the 1 pair that runs the phone or all pairs on the jack because i only use the 1 pair cord to the phone

Ok i returned to the site today and the error log has nothing on it to explain the problem.I found that 3 ext have this issue and the same three ports made multible phones die.All three ext are on 2 different 412 modules slot/port 0407,0611 and 0612.Also they say when one dies the other 2 die...

The phones are dead they do not come back in any port. I have not been to the site in a couple of weeks and do not know what the error codes are. I will know more om monday as i will be at that site. And merlinman i am in Delaware
