Hi, I have a router with 5 possible routes to 10.20.0.0/22,
When I do a 'sh ip route 10.20.0.0' it shows the 2 best choices for that destination. The last link on the eigrp topology list below (10.3.3.1) is a direct link to 10.20.0.0 and the utilization is very low, how can I get this link to...
Hi, I have just setup HP Openview and seems to be working fine. I have started to look at collecting data, when looking at cisco router interface MIB's I can collect on 'ifInOctets' and 'ifOutOctets' but I would like to collect bits/S, if this possible? and if so how do I do it.

Hi, Anyone succeeded in redistributing between OSPF and EIGRP; I need to understand this for a future project. I have a basic lab available to build a working model but I can't seem to find any examples on the Cisco site. I would be interested in any info to get me started.

Hi,
description: Non-selected user clearing,
"The destination is capable of accepting the
call but rejected the call because it was not
assigned to the user".
This cause indicates the user has not been awarded the incoming call, not sure of how to progress this though?

Sorry just a quick note, I see no config for the Ethernet interfaces but an IP address and a no shut would suffice, and there is some x25 info in the server config that I do not understand.
anyone out there know what this bit is?
line aux 0
x25 subaddress 4
rotary 5
autocommand x28

Hi, the config you refer to looks fine, I presume you require a routing protocol as the config uses snapshot routing (RIP in this case). You will have to mess around with the snapshot client settings to control the routing updates, or if your network is simple then you could use static routes...
Hi MrX, ISDN can be difficult to work with and I would not recommend a "newbie" to start there, but I'm sure your gonna try any way. I recently used one of the Cisco sample configs to get me started, they have good notes to support the configs.
There are two main ways to configure...
Hi, I am trying to trunk a Cisco 5500 and a Bay450t using 802.1q but with no success. I have checked the Cisco module and its capabilities include dot1q. I have set the cisco port to a trunk and used type dot1.q, I then set the trunk on the Bay as tagged a member of all the vlans. They are...
Hi I am not sure of the recovery procedure for a 303, but I did read a previous post about this and they recomended trying the following.
Power off , wait about 30 seconds, Power on...
Within 15 seconds type : NetICs<cr>
You will then be in enable mode... You should be able to retrieve the...
Hi Jason, about a year ago we had big problems with stack of 6*450t's using the correct cascade cables. We could not get to bottom of it and we had a lot of pressure to get it up and running. In the end we discarded the cascade cable and used an Ethernet port on each switch to connect them...
Hi, its straight forward, if your logging is buffered just type 'sh log' or to see it as it happens from a telnet session enter the 'term mon' command.
see ya
Bob ^^
Hello Hao, you could use a syslog and point your logging to the address of the syslog server.
(1) Start by getting hold of a some syslog software:http://support.3com.com/software/utilities_for_windows_32_bit.htm
(2) Then install it on your PC and run it up.
(3) Telnet to the router and get to...

The above description only covers Bri's but it is faily straight forward to cover Pri's...
