system command error

Speed WORD?
The figures are embedded, not compressed (I'm considering that because the file becomes very large now). Normal view, version 2003. Speed WORD?
WORD is very slow when you type while there is a figure in the range of the visible screen. It seems word trys to refresh every time after you type a word. Anybody know the tricks to speed up? I have a large file including many figures. Thanks.- flirt

Word and PPT: figure problems
I have some problem with figures in both word and powerpoint. First PPT sometimes would display the icons in the layout design panel when a new slide is created; the panel is just blank and when the pointer is moved inside, a blank little frame is shown, and it's hard for me to know which layout...- flirt
