Hi im using PS4, Win2k3
Does anyone know how to put icons just on the users desktop rather than in the My Program Neighborhood Applications folder?? I would like my users to seamlessly login and have the apps on their desktops and start menu - rather than in a folder
Make sure the machines have permissions to access the share in which you have located the MSI. Easiest and quickest way to do so is create a security group add all the PC's you want to deploy to and then reboot the PC.
It does authenticate across the wire, but its always done that even before we upgraded the line to 2mbps, wasnt a problem until recently.
It is very bizarre
I am noticing a lot of activity on these machines from sms deployments, so im circling round that at the moment
Dear all,
I have some PC's on one of my remotes sites running v v v slow. At this site we have numerous XP machines and one windows 2003 File server that was recently installed replacing an old windows 2000 F&P server. The DC's for network are at the main office and the link speed is 2Mbps...
I said the last weekday of the month not the last friday. IE: If the last day was on a tuesday it would run then but if it fell on a sunday it would run on friday.
Yes i know where the scheduling tab is - but from there other than selecting the job to run on specific dates there is no clear way to define a monthly schedule that runs on the last week day of the month
Use Outlook Web Access if your company allows it. Then all you have to do is bang the IP address or the FQDN into your web browser http://[fqdn/ip] - Your administrators should be able to supply you with that information.
Why dont you either setup Zone Transfers from domainC to domainb??? Or setup a conditional forwarder that says that any queries on the domainb network for domainc.net get forwarded onto the domainc.net dns server
You should have on both those routers config tools with the ability to create IPSec VPN's. Just enter the details - ie: external host/IP's for both end points and the internal LAN details - you will also have to set up shared keys etc.
I would imagine there is a simple web interface to follow
Off the top of my head it sounds like your DNS query may be getting stuck in some sort of loop.
Where are your forwarders point too??
What happens if you try to do nslookup queries for internal and external entries from either server???
Is it possible to setup some sort of rules that say when blank media is inserted and used by a particular job it takes a certain name like Daily001, obviously incrementing the number by one each time?!?!?
Can you explain a bit more please regarding your DNS architecture, as im a little lost. You have 2 DC's that also run as DNS Servers, they have external access!?!?! Are they also local DNS Servers, with forwarders setup???
Im not really sure what the 2k3 controller with no external access...
I would say forget your website.
Do you have a firewall at your site with the SBS box??? On that firewall, you need to set a rule to forward port 80 to the SBS box. Then you can connect to exchange using http://IP/exchange - IP will be the IP address you are on for your Zen internet...
Just create Personal Folders, that just creates a PST file that is stored where ever the user defines. File > Data File Management > Add - these are not held in the exchange data stores
