Broadband networking...
I have 2(sometimes 3) computers on my network, but can hook up to 4 or 5 if I want. I have a cheap $40 5-Port switch (don't even remember the name brand) & it does fine. I didn't have to install any software or anything. I'm using WinXP, but WinME shouldn't be a whole...
Well I was just gonna turn one of those small freezers into my case ;)
Question: Would a 2.0ghz Celeron overclocked to 2.5 or so, out perform my AthlonXP 1800(1.53ghz)?
Yes the evil Intel is tempting me :)
But for the price of P4 vs AthlonXP, i'll go with Athlon.
I'm just looking at Celerons...
I was hoping I could get a couple 1.7 - 2.0ghz or so Celeron CPU's to overclock so they have a 400mhz FSB & a 3.0ghz clock speed, and find a dual board to support them. Anyone familiar with this kind of thing? I'm not that familiar with overclocking or dual CPU's :)
Would love to toy with it...
That sucks lol :)
So I guess I have at least 1 fried cpu here. I took the 900mhz from my server and popped it in (with the heatsink/fan) & booted up first time.
Thanks for the info ^_^
I read this on another web site. It makes no sense to me how, lack of a chunk of metal on your cpu, for a few seconds, will cause it to fry... it just doesn't seem logical to me :)
"If you apply power to a motherboard with an Athlon or Duron processor without the CPU fan connected, even...
Crap, and why did I buy 2 of these boards? :
Well, my computer was running fine after I installed the ECS. I replaced my 450w PS I had cuz it died :( ..odd.. but I replaced it with a 420w Enlight. Everything was great..
I shut it down yesterday to test my CPU in my uncle's computer. His...
But how can you make each domain goto a different web page? It's no problem getting multiple domains to point to one.
This is the effect we're trying to get:
http://www.website#1.com goes to...
d:\websites\website#1\index.htm
http://www.website#2.com goes to...
d:\websites\website#2\index.htm...
I've had trouble with this myself, but I ended up using an asp script to re-direct the user, depending on the domain they typed in. Here's an example...

Can someone tell me what the settings are for cgi/perl scripts under the "Add/Edit Application Extension Mapping" window?
Options are below

Well, I tried that, restarted IIS, went to the url http://micro.sytes.net/test.log and it doesn't work.
Maybe weekender will have better luck...
As far as the exe's, I can't even download them from my server.
I've never gotten a 404 when trying to download a file that was there until...
seems to be the same problem as me, only i can't access exe's.
To test your problem, I also put a log file on my server, and get a 404 error when trying to access it.
I then added a mime type for "log" extensions and used Notepad for the Executable path..
This didn't help...
It's good...
I just downloaded a log parser (logview.exe) and I put it in my cgi-bin and try to run it, but I get a "404 - File Not Found" error. I also had this problem with a game demo I put on my server. I had to rename it without the .exe and then people could download it....however I can't do...
Oh good, so I'm not half the moron I thought I was. I have this problem too. Could it be from too many security patches and such? It's cgi scripts that don't work for me though. I currently have asp pages that work...
I double checked all my permissions in Windows Explorer and in IIS, and...
I have this problem too. I'm rather new to IIS, after switching from a free web server(Xitami).
I can view it fine from my network, but not from the outside. I have a firewall, which has the necessary ports open as far as i know.
I have a free domain for now, and a "dynamic dns"...
