    "&amp" appearing in Email subject line ??

    Does anyone perhaps happen know why when you use the ampersand symbol (&) in email that it displays as "&amp". In this specific case, it is the subject line. The email body itself was in html, so don't know if a text version of the email would also be displayed in the same way.
