but I have checked that one too, it is the server and has shares with the drive and other computers. Another anomoly is that I can save from a another networked computer to the server that will not allow any saves....it has me baffled.

need to know if you have WINNT or what operating system. check your 'hosts' of 'lmhosts' file (do a file search) and make sure the computers name of ip address is in there
OR have you enabled and setup WINS adressing to reflect your domanin name on that particular computer

your local dns should be setup with the subnet. and should work independant of any outside influence. set up offline folders in OUTLOOK and you can run your intranet as if nothing happened and have access to all local users when you go to addresses
check your 'host' file to reflect your server - c:\winnt.sbs\drivers\etc host and lmhost by memory do not open or save as default 'notepad'

I HAVE INSTALLED THE ROLLOUT ON 5 EXCHANGE SERVER sbs NETWORKS IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, ALL HAVE GONE OVER FINE, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE CONSISTANCY OF THE DATABASES. DONT HAVE ANY APPS OPEN. AND TRY IT AGAIN.. HOW LONG HAS THE SYSTEM BEEN UP.
