I think the first gets reads the newline char after the number of students.
a dummy getchar() call after scanf("%d",&numb)
should help.
....
scanf("%d",&numb);
getchar();
....

You have to simply include the apropriate header file and call the function.
I think #include<windows.h> would help for most of the commonly used functions.

Even if multiArray is initialised as a global in the lookUp.cpp its giving correct results .I don't know why its not working for you. Since I am able to get the correct results with your code.
