That doesn't seem right. But maybe with enough gripes they can provide a software fix since the flash memory is supposed to be easier to upgrade than replacing the eProms.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I was going to try to use that as a tool to replace standard STS units, but only if I could identify multiple fax exts. I was hoping I could do away with CommShare switches.
OK, One more question;
With the STSe, is there a limit to the number of fax lines/fax machines that can be connected?
Yes I know you have to have enough available CO and SLT ports, I'm asking about the Fax Detect function only.

I have a mailbox in a range beyond the installed keysets that will be used for special announcements.
Currently I can Txfr calls to it by dialing 440 and the station digits.
I canNOT txfr calls to the station itself, most likely because there is no keyset installed...

Aside from the Fax Detection, LCD Backlighting and the flash programming instead of chips, are there any significant differences between the STSe and the STS that would warrant changing...
