    how to update a field for all records on a filtered form

    I'm new at this application writing stuff. I have cut down the display of all 1000 records of a table by using filter-by-form and/or filter-by-selection (nice tools!) I now want to double click somewhere on the form in order to update a table field value for the remaining 30 or so records...
