Your 2nd post indicates an Informix upgrade from v7.2 to v7.3, and that you're using an Intersolv drive. I would contact Intersolv first and see if you're using the correct Intersolv version. While moving from 7.2 to 7.3 doesn't seem like much, you said it worked fine initially (v7.2)...
Be careful about ArcServe on NetWare. ArcServe IT 6.6 for NetWare still requires IPX. It does NOT support IP. I've been waiting over a year for Computer Associates to ship ArcServe IT 7 for NetWare, which is suppose to support IP. I have not been able to find a reseller that can get this version.
