I do have a firewall, but the programs do have access to the internet, they just won't connect automatically.

Win XP Pro with an ADSL connection..... Before I reinstalled XP it worked fine. Now I have to connect manually, for all programs except IE, which conects automatically. Any help appreciated.

Never mind I found the solution. What I meant was I had a "Common Tasks" menu on the desktop.

I somehow got the folder tasks menu(Like in folders, on the left) to show on the desktop. How do I get rid of it? Thanks!

I connected my 21 inch TV, through Video In. Drivers used: Detonator 28, 30, 40.
