My question is this:
If someone behind domain firewall sends me a remote assistance request, I can't connect because "host name cannot be resolved". I'm not surprised because I'm outside the domain.
When I open the XML file, the internal DHCP-assigned IP address shows up. I wanted to...
Most of our users use OL2000 via Citrix MetaFrame XPe. We run Exchange 2000 on win2k server sp3.
It seems that OL2000 is running slow, and I wondering if that is just the way OL2000 works inside Citrix, or is our Exchange server getting bogged down? (CPU and mem usage on the Exchange box is...
Is it not personal folders. It is the inbox itself. And we run exchange 2000.
Also, all the users in questions are members of the Administrators group. From what I can see, once someone is a member of the Administrators group, he/she can view anyone's inbox without barriers. Please...
Following those steps didn't lead me to a "change password" option. The "advanced" button gave me 4 tabs, but none of them had an option to change passwords.
In Outlook 2000, is there a way to stop a user from opening another user's inbox? The permissions on the inbox are only set for "default" and "anonymous" with both having no roles or permissions.
We run win2k sp3 with metframe xpe1.0
Recently, users have not been able to download files to their temporary folder (C:\documents and settings\(username)\local settings\temporary internet files\(blah)) The error states "unable to access folder" (or similar msg)
I checked permissions and...
I have a situation:
PC is running XP. The copy of IE6 (no SP1) on that machine would crash when files are downloaded and installation of those files start. So, I can't download and install IE6 SP1 or anything that is downloaded. Any ideas? Thanks!
I switched to another server to act as our work-from-home server and it worked fine. I suspect it's hardware related. Somehow it could be the built-in gigabit NIC. The server that I switched to used to be the work-at-home server but needed to be taken down for some changes.
Thanks for your...
Firewall is set up correctly and has been for months. VPNs not used. Users connect via ICA connections pointing to a static IP. All remote users have broadband.
We have a Compaq ProLiant ML370 G3 with a built-in NC7781 Gigabit NIC running win2k server sp3 and Metaframe XP. This server is the box that users logging in from home will hit.
Out of the blue since saturday, trying to log on from home became a hit-or-miss affair, mostly miss. I had 2 techs...
I have been trying to use hyperterminal to telnet to a 3620 and 1600 using the powder blue management cable (serial one end, ethernet on the other) connect to my winXPpro laptop. I use COM1 on my laptop.
No matter what settings I try, I am unsuccessful. The session shows...
We have a SOHO 6/tc and the connection was dropped pretty frequently. We think it could be a quality issue with the SOHO. Given that my users in the branch office (there are 4 users there) are not tech saavy, I can't afford the risk of another bad SOHO.
I did the fix in the KB article, changed the NIC in the PC and joined the PC to the domain after the upgrade (instead of during).
Problem solved! Thanks!
