Hi there,
I have an IIS 6.0 web server hosting mutiple production web sites.
The C: partition on this server keeps filling up with IIS log files in c:\windows\system32\logfiles .
I have two questions:
1. Can I change the log file directory for all the web sites at the same time by opening...
Hi hpwizzard,
Thanks v much for the information.
I think I found a solution to the problem last night (and was just about to post)...
The Windows 2008 R2 Print server is part of a Windows 2003 AD domain.
I found a group policy (legacy) that was being applied to the server. It was a...
Hi There,
I am using the HP UNiversal Printer driver 5.0.3 on a Windows 2008 R2 installation. There are 500 print queues on the print server. It works very well apart from one thing.
At random periods the spoolsv.exe shoots up to 100% of CPU resources. I know why it does this; its because...
I have read this many times (honestly I have, every bit)...this is the paragraph that does not explain itself and I quote. (This paragraph is repeated many times through out the forementioned documentation)
"When the Per Device licensing mode is used, after a client logs and authenticates to a...
Hi there,
I have a question about terminal server 2003 (TS) and terminal server licensing server 2003 (TSLS).
If the TS points to an active TSLS and the TS is configured for user mode...will the client always receive a temporary license no matter how many times the client contacts the TS...
Hi Tim
If you do not have any network monitoring software then there is no point enabling SNMP...
OpenManage I guess is like HP SIM..We use HPSIM to try and preempt hardware failures...but if you have no central monitoring system then there is not much point for SNMP.
Trying to find that...
I've never seen this before...but I suppose in a way it could have its uses.
I copied (robocopy) an 800Gb folder (in a shared folder) to a new server. The users were happily able to access the data on the new server (via a mapped drive).
The original folder was then MOVED to a new location (I...
Hi Fraxx,
I've not come across ACL before in the HP array environment.
Looking at the ACU manual I assume you mean "Selective Storage Presentation". I am pretty sure that this is not enabled in this environment (it seems that you enable it using a command line)...how can I tell if it is...
Hi there,
I am currently building a new additional array on an MSA 1500 (fiber connection) (its in a different country...so I do not have access)
All seems to be OK except the length of time its taking to complete the task....days.
The array is new (not an expansion) and I immediatley created a...
Maybe I was dreaming this....can someone check this out.
I was sure that I copied shared folders from one server to another.(I used robocopy to do this bit)
I exported the source shares registry key and copied the .reg file to the destination server.
On the destination server I edited the .reg...
Cheers Denny,
That worked perfectly, wuindows sees the new larger disk....however...
The VI client still thinks that the disk size is the original size...will this cause problems? (Edit settings and look at the hard disk size)
I've created a W2K3 server template with a 5GB C: partition. It works really well. However would any of you know a way of changing the size of the C: partition on VM's created using the 5GB template.
I'm pretty sure there is a "cute" way of doing this...i.e. create a new VM with a size of...
Hi Guys,
Spoke to a few chaps here. Complete change of plan, using the move as an oppertunity to clean things up! Shares being zapped and recreated. It's is an interesting question though...btw I was going to use robocopy to move the data...I may have changed to scopy to sort it out.
Again...
Hi all,
I'm moving SOME shares from one server to another. Unfortunatley, the moved shares will also be on a new drive letter. (Both servers Windows 2003)
I thought, simple enough, I'll export the shares section of the registry (on the source server) and edit the resulting .reg...
You know what I was thinking the same..."how the heck do you upgrade a processor driver" (but I'm never afarid to ask a "dumb" question).
The SAP website advises "Install the latest processor drivers for your CPU.....".....so here I am. I did find the AMD site and it seems to have the driver...
Hi there,
To solve a timing issue with a database application (SAP) I have been asked to upgrade the processor driver (on the sap server) to the latest version.
I think I have downloaded the latest driver for the processors in my server (AMD 2220 processors there are four)
Have any of you...
ProbablyDown!
I got it! many thanks for your help.
I'm not 100% sure how I did it (initially I could not see volumes on the remaining netware server but all of a sudden up popped sys); but I can now view data backed up for the dead server and restore it to the last remaining netware server...
